On December 20th, 2023 we celebrated Mayukh’s birthday, a day etched with deep significance for us as parents. It was the day we had long planned to inaugurate the ‘Mayukh (Gaster) Charitable Trust & Meditation Centre’—a dream that held immense sentimental value.
Our journey took us beyond the city to three schools, sanctuaries for over a hundred underprivileged children, each under the compassionate care of devoted souls. At ‘Mukulbithi’ in Makaltala, our hearts swelled spending cherished moments with these little souls.
‘Anandalok’ at Aripota embraced us warmly, exchanging heartfelt sentiments with teachers and children alike. And at ‘Naboday School’ in Bantala, the innocence and joy of children aged 3 to 5 filled us with warmth. We gifted drawing kits and delightful food packets, witnessing their elation that danced in their eyes. The laughter and happiness of these children became the melody of our day, captured in countless photos and videos that now hold profound emotional significance.

Later, at ‘Bharat Sevashram Sangha’ in Ballygunge, our souls connected with saints in a spiritual communion that left us feeling blessed and enriched. Our offerings at the deity’s lotus feet were not just rituals but expressions of gratitude for the abundance of emotions we experienced throughout the day. Returning home, our hearts overflowed with a blend of joy, contentment, and an inexplicable sense of fulfillment from touching the lives of these beautiful souls.
